What is qi Gong?
Chinese health philosophy is based on the movement of internal energy in the body. This movement of energy is called Qi. However to effect or influence Qi you must work with Nei Gong; meaning “internal Work” If your health devleopment is not internal, then you will not be effecting the internal erergy system therfore no internal balance will be achieved.
Qi Gong is the root of bringing about change in the body, from the outside in.
All other forms of energy practice - such as Qi Gong, Yi Gong, Shen Gong and Nei Dan - are all extensions of Nei Gong. However, this is only true if you are taught these practices the correct way.
In the West, many of these practices have either not been taught correctly or miss out the most important part of the teaching, which is Nei Gong. Without it, you are purely learning an empty form or a routine that looks good but does not have any effect on your internal energy system or on your overall health and well being.
For example, Tai Chi is very well known form of exercise and practice, if practiced without Nei Gong practice, the full benefits of Tai Chi cannot be realized.
What does this mean?
Learn the art correctly, learn to practice it with discipline, and you will reap overwhelming health benefits and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
